KT-5N transom wheels feature a locking mechanism that allows you to secure the wheels parallel to the transom when not in use and perpendicular when in use. This offers several advantages: 1) you can pack the boat without removing the wheels; 2) the wheels are positioned as compactly as possible when not in use. The transom-mounted base is made of stainless steel. The base is the same for the KT-1, KT-2, KT-4, and KT-5 models. This allows you to modify the model as desired or necessary without drilling any additional holes in the transom.
